Various usability problems with Creator 2.3.1 on OSX

I recently upgraded to Qt 4.7.4/QT Creator 2.3.1 from 4.7.1 / 2.0.1 on a MacBook Air (OSX 10.6.8) but I'm having various problems...

1. Scrolling through long documents (code or help files) using the trackpad is incredibly sluggish and jerky. This happens even when the trackpad inertia is turned off.

2. The bundled help files are mangled. Strangely it appears that the stylesheets are missing ie the help pages look like plain HTML with default formatting. See post http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/11027/

I had neither of these problems previously. I have tried doing a clean install of Qt and Creator (ran the uninstall-qt.py script) but this made no difference. I would like to try installing Qt 4.7.3 (need threading bug fixes not present in 4.7.1) and the corresponding version of Creator (which version is this?) but I can't seem to find these downloads!

Any ideas would be greately appreciated.
