Qt in Visual Studio - Can't open Project as Release Build / No Qt Platform Plugin Could be Initialized
J_Weihele last edited by J_Weihele
I'm currently trying to integrate a Basic Qt Project into Visual Studio.
Therefore I'm using the Qt VS Tool and the MSVC 2017 Compiler.
In the Debug Mode, the Project builds normally, but as soon as I'm switching to the Release Mode, I get the following Error:
"This application failed to start because no Qt platform Plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this Problem."
Also, in Visual Studio the "Error-Window" is shown, which says:
Qt5Core.pdb not loaded.
Could you please help me here?
Thank you in Advance.

After 3 days of Desperation, I finally solved it.
For some Reason, I had to update the "MiKteX Console". I've never heard of Miktex and I've never used it before.
But after updating it with over 120 Updates, my Project could finally be built in Release Mode.
