The best way of creating a HexagonView?
I have to implement a
GridViewalternative, which will lay out items in a honeycomb-like manner. It has to be interactive, so
QQuickPaintedItemwill be too expensive.
Should I simply fork the
GridViewimplementation or is there are easier way?

I would do is at follows: extend
QQuickPaintedItemfor hexagon items on C++ side and simple
Itemwith placing/movig logic on QML+JS side.
I'm not sure it's possible. I'm using a model as a source and I have to receive events from it. It's not just about placing.
Looks like a
Repeaterwith a manual positioning and
OpacityMaskis the easiest solution.
