Path to cloned examples ?

I have cloned "qtconncetivity" examples.
In "standard" Qt creator" there is a path to examples attached to initial download.
Is there a way to CHANGE such path to point to my newly cloned gtconnectivity examples?I can select an example, however, I cannot "create" needed directories - getting "permission denied".
Since there is a "path" selection option, if I "point" to my examples , it MAY allow to build required directories / folders.

Since you cloned it as root here - what do you expect? Simply don't clone as root...
