    Hello there,
    I've built a custom tree model by inheriting QAbstractItemModel and displayed the data with a QTreeView object successfully.

    The problem is that when I was trying to map the data of the model to some QLineEdit objects, they didn't give me a crap (nothing showed up).

    The "data" function in the tree model returns "QString".

    I called "setCurrentModelIndex()" of the QDataWidgetMapper to set up the model index to be that of "Gray". I expected the 3 QLineEdit objects to display "Peter", "Robert", and "Amber".

    Could anyone give me a hint about what I missed?
