UI interface is white after reducing the ApplicationWindow height

I have an UI with variable height, i.e. a hide/show button that allows to hide the lower part of the UI. However, on macOS it happens frequently when reducing the window height to have a white UI, i.e no component shown. The hide/show button is clickable, even if it is not visible, so I can restore the initial height and again the UI is rendered. The same application behaves correctly on Window, so I assume that this is related to the video driver. I am using Qt 5.12.3. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this ?thanks
