OpenGLWindow example has transparent window background

Hey - I'm new to Qt but old to gamedev. I've just started playing with Qt and when I download and run the 'OpenGLWindow' example project I get a window with a transparent background and the triangle animating. Looking at the code this shouldn't happen, but it is. Anyone know what's going wrong with my setup ? I'm on Ubuntu 18.04 with latest NVidia drivers (418). I'm also running Wayland. Cheers.

OK, Switching off Wayland seems to have fixed it.
