I installed qtcreator via apt, and when I try to create a project it just says that there's no suitable kits found. The one it detected I filled out but yet it says its missing at least one required feature but I filled everything out
What was missing that you had to "fill out"?
I fixed it, I went to options > python then hit generate kit
