Hi,
What about the use on mobile ? Did you also took that into account with the new theme ?
@SGaist Just a teaser, I believe we will have decent mobile support for mobile devices including
-
New bottom mobile navigation layout (Some navigation var behavior can be personalized in Profile -> theme settings)
-
Progressive Web App support with correct Qt icon for Android Google Chrome & iOS Safari
-
Post navigator is still at the bottom but with Qt development cool styles :D

Hey Qt!
We are soon updating our Forum, and with it some UI changes are coming.
I would like to give you all a heads-up for better transparency, and to also prepare you for our new Forum look. When is our update scheduled?
We are planning to update it on May 2nd. Therefore, expect the Forum will be down on this day for a few hours.Which version are we upgrading our Forum to?
Our Forum is currently running on NodeBB v2.8.0, and we are moving forward with its latest NodeBB 3.7.2.
If you would like to read the specifics, you can refer to this page.Is our Forum getting a new look?
Yes! Our Forum will be based on the Harmony theme as it comes with many advantages.
Additionally, it will be aligned with Qt’s new brand identity. The Harmony Theme
This new theme will present us with a fresh and modern design, also making the use of icons less heavy, therefore cleaner. Another example is that when inside inside a sub-topic page, the title of the sub-topic is clearly indicated at the top of the page, so you understand better where you are at.
One important thing to notice is that our navigation bar will move to the left of the screen.
You can view the actual mockup here; let us know your feedback! We understand that changing is mostly good and might take some time to adjust.
Count on us to bring the best of the Forum experience to you.
Our Forum update is supervised by the Community, IT and Design teams altogether. Please reach out in case of any questions or concerns.
Stay tuned for updates!

I don't care so much about the styling, but I find the switch from up & down arrows to left & right arrows there really strange. Left / right makes it seem like you'd use them to switch between different threads, not go to the start / end (AKA top / bottom) of the current thread.
(As a reminder, the navigator currently looks like this on mobile, with the same sensible up/down arrows as on the desktop...)

@Nhan-Nguyen Just one more thing to check: performance. I still have an issue that when I want to check the forum, if anonymous, it's super fast but as soon as I am logged in, it goes down to a crawl.

@FeRDNYC Thank for your feedback, we will take it into consideration and discuss with the design team.

Hello @SGaist, thanks for your report! I don't see any performance issues while logged in. Let's experience the new forum and discuss the performance issue with specific cases.
-
@SGaist Do you feel any performance improvement after the upgrade? Any feedback is welcome!

@Nhan-Nguyen Like the old saying goes: day and night (at least from some minimal preliminary tests) :-)
-
@JoeCFD thanks for the feedback! Do you mean the desktop or mobile left-side bar? Or both?

One other thing that is surprising. There used to be a preview when writing however it's now only shown when editing a post.Furthermore, once the editor is hidden, it seems you have again go through the three dotted menu to make it appear again. The previous version would show an icon to show the editor back.
Ok, you have to hit either reply to the last message or the global reply button to have the preview.
However, the hiding issue is still there.

I wonder if moving posts will be hidden ... it has been uncalled for and difficult to to keep track, I guess I find out.Other that that - if it WAS NOT BROKEN , why FIX it or does Qt have money to burn ??? -
