I'm a current "Das Keyboard":http://www.daskeyboard.com/ user and have recently run into a "Deck Keyboard":http://www.deckkeyboards.com/ at a client site. Wow! I can even get it backlit in green!

I already know that the keyboard doesn't make the man/woman, but I sure do like swapping favorite/current hardware tips with smart people.

So what is everyone's favorite and/or current keyboard? Biggest draw? Worst downside?

"Linux is not user-friendly." It is user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.

      My current keyboard:
      "Digital Media Keyboard 3000":http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/digital-media-keyboard-3000
      Plus sides:
      -I like the design
-operates smoothly (better than may previous logitech)
      -slim keys
      -cheap :P

      Downside:
      -it's from Microsoft :P

Me, Grimlock, not "nice dino". ME BASH BRAINS!

        Mine one is "this":http://www.defender.ru/images/products/repository/DPGJU-D795Q-0WU103-0YM7.jpg
What I like is the shape of Enter and layout is oldschool (without these power buttons near arrows or small shift or other strange changes). I'm not using it a lot of now because I'm mostly work on laptop (where layout is less or more classic, at least I have block Ins-Del-Home-End-PgUp-PgDn where it should be)

I use one of "these":http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/natural-ergonomic-keyboard-4000/B2M-00012 at work. It's a split keyboard and it took a little getting used to, but I find that for extended periods of typing, it really does make things more comfortable. I typically ignore all the extra keys and buttons and gadgets on it, though I have mapped a few of the extra keys to some of my favorite commonly used Qt Creator features.

At home, I'm a traditionalist, and still enjoy my "Model M,":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_M_keyboard which I've been using for years now. I love the clicky feel from the buckle springs and the sheer weight of the thing. It's truly an old friend.

Edit: @bobby - You might be using a Das Keyboard, but the Model M was the original DOS Keyboard. :-)
