Not sure what the supported list of browsers for DevNet is, but I would guess it includes browsers that are not as modern as to support HTML 5 features.

html5 unsupported browsers can always default to flash, only few IE versions I guess. I think most of us are already onto the latest greatest browsers and if someone is not, they should upgrade..

This extension is for Chrome anyway, and Chrome is as up to date as it gets, I guess. :-)

yes for chrome extn it would anyways work with html5, but the object in question is the animated MS flash badge, now I proposed that be redone with html5 instead of flash (and flash be used only for the older browsers)

About flash mad scientist badge in extension. I've asked Vass to change it to png. Flash is not fully stable at linux and it sometimes brokes up.

Hi folks! Good news, I published new version of extension, please update.
Now you can use two new tabs (see options for enable it) - new posts and last wiki changes
Also update interval setting available on options page.

And! I published sources of extention on "gitorious":https://gitorious.org/qt-devnet-chromium-extension under BSD license.

It is only beta version (I tested it only for 12.0.744.0 version of Chromium), if you find bugs, please, tell me about this.

                        Enjoy!

P.S. I'm not designer and not guru of JavaScript, if you want offer your help - I will very glad.

P.P.S. -Known issue - Mouse wheel not working with scroll, It will be fixed as quickly as possible.-
                        Fixed now. Please update.

I have received the same error but after restarting chrome several times it seems to be working now.

Anyway, thanks Vass, this is really great work!!!

Just got it working again, was broken after updating. But a reboot seems to have fixed it.
                                      Excellent work again!

                                      Write “Qt”, not “QT” (QuickTime).

Something is wrong with the plugin. It behaves so badly, that I have had to disable it completely. Look at this screenshot:

!http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16442531/QDNBadgeMemory.png(Extreme memory usage by QDN plugin)!

The memory usage is through the roof. What's more, is that clicking the icon yields this:

                                        !http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16442531/QDNBadgeError.png(QDN plugin error popup)!
