Keyboard concept

In my app (embedded with touchscreen) will be many digital parameters. I want realize such edit parameter process. When user touch some parameter (for example "number") will be shown such modal dialog windows. And user can Apply or Reject changes.
May be anybody know similar virtual keyboard realization? I have not idea how to realize changing cursor position (for editing errors in input).
