Call QWidget::resize(), QWidget::showMaximized(), or QWidget::setGeometry() on each top-level widget as required. The layout within the top-level widgets should look after all the contained widgets.
You might find QWidget::saveGeometry() and QWidget::restoreGeometry() along with QSettings to keep sizes between runs.
