Unsolved Rename project within QtCreator IDE ?
-
This has been asked before and there are references available.
However, since I am "up to date" now - used the latest Ubuntu and Qt install I decided to ask anyway.
If you have no idea or still renaming QT Creator projects using OS , just ignore this post. -
Qt Creator doesn't have that feature and it was already rejected several years ago: QTCREATORBUG-540
If you want you can request it again on the bugtracker, but there's no point in asking it here every few months.
AFAIK it's too low of a priority so unless you implement it yourself or explicitly find someone willing to do it for you it won't happen. To my knowledge nobody's working on it and it's not in the backlog. -

Reason I asked AGAIN I am just getting familiar with new version and did not see anything obvious to do that.Maybe some kind of PROJECT versioning already exists
Cheers -

Versioning is done via Version Control System (VCS) like Git.
When using a VCS, you keep the project name unchanged between versions.

I am not sure if this is worth posting.
I just tried to "save as" my subdirs project. It did change the project main name , but did not save the second subproject - so it won't build.
