I'm just jumping back into qt and wanting to start a new project with 6. It looks like the Qt Multimedia Widgets Modules where removed. Is there a current alternative to playing video with audio?

      Hi,

It's not removed, it should be back in a later release. See here.

In between you can try with VLC.

Or just stay with Qt 5 and port the application to Qt 6 when all the modules you need are there.

Qt multimedia will be back in Qt 6.2

        https://www.qt.io/blog/add-on-support-in-qt-6.0-and-beyond

I'm not playing video in my app, but i play sound.
So, since multimedia is missing i'm playing them using liballegro

        https://liballeg.org/

I think the library can play video also.
