-
It looks grate! Thanks :D
Update plugin now!
New posts were added.
User Id not needed anymore, but you should authenticated in QtDN.
Chetan, please, check Mad Scientist flash badge.
Thanks Vass for taking this up, but for some reason update doesn't seem to be working on my chrome 8.0.552.215
I go to tools->extensions-> and update ... still doesn't seem to work. I even uninstalled, reinstalled etc ... still expects me to type member id, only then the badge comes up and with no animation or new posts count
any help?

chetankjain: I have exactly the same version of Chrome installed and it works like a charm here.
Vass: Thanks for the plugin. One question: What is the new posts count actually about? Does it count new comments? When I click on it I get to a page which lists considerably less topics listed than the new posts count said there would be.

Tobias: Lucky u !
I think this is the same issue ... if you see the main page of devnet, you have "X New Posts" .. is that number correctly listed for you compared to the actual New Posts + New replies ? -
The plugin works fine on same Chrome version here too. But I didn't upgrade it at all.
I have never understood the X new posts thing. Is it random or what? I find it very confusing as it will say 130 new posts and then when I click on it there's only about new 10-20 replies. Most of which I have already read.

i finally got it working after uninstall and reinstall chrome :P
Thanks Vass, this is great !
-
Alas, I'm a FF4 user... :-P
for anyone aiming for the next level, this extension will be quite useful ... not for the mad scientists though, 0 points to next level :P
Shouldn't that be ∞ points to next level? (Hey, you could even add that to the display as a feature!)
-
Gordon, -∞ will be better. We are Mad Scientists, do you remember? :D
-
Chetan, your Chrome bug is my blame. I forgot update version number. Sorry. Now it's ok.

thanks :) I'm finding it very useful ...
ps: any chance of adding counter/link for new wiki/blog entries :P or am I seeking too much ;) -
Chetan, wait weekend. :) I busy now. :(
-
bq. For the Project Elf
Will be nice if the extension count the points earned in the week.
I know, the points before extension install not be computed.
-
Cochise, I will try on weekend
-
New version available. I add point counter on one calendar week (from Monday to Monday). I don't tested it very strongly, please, try and let me know if you will have problem.
-
Thanks Vass
-
If I'm not online at one of those times, would it not record the points and not track for the week?
I'm online most every day so it doesn't really matter. I'm just curious how you implemented it.
-
Thanks for the update, Vass. Project elf contenders will find it very useful next weeks.
-
Bradley, I think all will be ok.
-
I try now.
I dont put no id, only login to the devnet.
I see my point, my point to next level and my point for the week (but i not sure this is correct).I have to disable and enable to view the correct point.
Is this ok? -
points for the week will be set = 0 for first start. even if you install it in Wednesday. I don't get information about week points from site, it is internal counter. But now Monday, so difference must be small.
