Then, can you say how the ranking of a gravatar pic can be improved? The FAQ there isn't helpful for this.
I've found it now :) it's a bit tricky.

You have to go to your profile and click on the rating symbol on the right of your picture (it's X by default). Then you enter a page where you can change the rating quite easily.

It's not exactly straight forward but as we can see now, all worked out in the end. ;)

Wolf/Gerolf - would you mind writing a short wiki article on this? This would surely be helpful for other users too. At least for me - as I consider to upload a gravatar :-)

I know that it can be a hassle to keep track of all the different accounts on all sorts of sites, I have a dedicated email folder for that now. Gravatars are neat though since so many web sites use them. But hey, it's just an avatar...

So, to get things straight: I'm not saying it's a stupid suggestion, all I'm saying is that it's not very likely to happen. At least not in the near future.
The ideal solution would be everyone using OpenID (or another protocol with the same features, there are always alternatives) to its full potential, not only for the username/password pair, but also for other of it's usually unknown features. Your OpenID provider might allow you to add to your "persona" your email, nickname, avatar, and so on. That way the DevNet would not need to add all that features.
