Embedding Qt UI in a browser
-
Hi all,
Any idea on how Qt UI is embedded in a browser?
-
Can you explain a bit more, what you want to achieve?
Creating web pages that display Qt apps?
Or Qt apps displaying web pages? -
Thanks for the quick response. Would like to create web pages that display Qt UI.
Also, Qt UI would display 3D images received from some external dlls. -
So you want a browser plugin build with Qt? Is that right?
-
Exactly and would like to know, for what all browsers plug-in(s) are available.
-
You have to do it for each browser separately and perhaps also for each platform....
There is no browser plugin framework in qt. -
Are the plug-ins already made available by Qt for all the browsers or atleast the popular ones? If there are then for what all browsers?
-
Once there was an solution:
http://doc.qt.nokia.com/solutions/4/qtbrowserplugin/I don't know if it is available and/or supported anymore.
-
By default, ther are no plug-ins for browsers. There was a "QtSolution":http://doc.qt.nokia.com/solutions/4/qtbrowserplugin/ some tiume ago. You can look at that topic. Perhaps it helps. But Qt itself has not Browser plugins available.
Edit: some seconds too slow.... :-)
