    Hello,

I’m wondering if it is possible to use gstreamer as backend in Phonon on the Windows platform?

    Regards,
    Dave

      Look "here":http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/phonon-overview.html#installing-phonon for phonon.
The docs dont give gstreamer as a requirement for windows. Only on a linuxbox you have to install gstreamer.
      As for your question,
I dont think its needed, but i bet it will be possible

        Hello,

I'm aware of the fact that gstreamer is not a requirement for writing/running a Qt application using Phonon on Windows. But I'm wondering if there is a supported way of writing and running a Qt application using Phonon with gstreamer libs in Windows? I want to use gstreamer in my application both in Windows and Linux and avoid using the DirectShow integration in Windows.

i.e. I want to compile the proper gstreamer alternative for phonon_ds94.dll available in Qt SDK for Windows.

        Regards,
        Dave
