System Windows XP. QT 4.6.(2 or 3)

After de-installing (removing all components) and performing a new install I get as far as 85% and then installation stalls/freezes with an error.

This is repeatable! (The tail of the details from the install window is shown below)

Any ideas? Is there a FAQ for properly for properly cleaning up an Windows XP system after a deinstall. I'm sure something has been left lying around the system that is stopping the re-install.

Also! IS there a way of reinstalling without downloading the entire QT SDK over the web everytime? Is there an option for download now and install later from local system?

    Installing component Madde QT 4.6.2

    Working on toolchain arm-2007q3-51sb6-gdb701-arm-none-linux-gnueabi_w32

I use Qt on win xp and never faced such a problem (been using Qt since 4.4.x). Any specific reason why you are not trying Qt 4.7? And yes all versions have an offline installer that you can download and install at your wish.

I require Symbian support so I'm using the Forum Nokia QT version which I guess hasn't made it to 4.7. Is there a better forum for the Forum version?

My version turned out to be 4.7 in the end. The install window eventually times out (after a few hours) and provideds the option of ignoring the problem and carrying on.

After carrying on the install finished and testing a few of the providing examples seems to be all fine.
