I found some information on this topic, but quite outdated.
I have a model exported from blender (obj + mtl files) and I would like using it in shadow-map-qml example supplied with Qt 5.13.1.
When I replace trefoil.obj with my obj nothing is shown on the scene.
    Should I modify something else?

Sorry for pushing, but does someone know if this is possible or not in Qml?
If not, I'm going to search for another approach

I am not sure about the .mtl file but you can change the .obj file. Make sure to add it to the resource. Also try giving scaleFactor as a property .
property real scaleFactor: 15 ->this is what i gave.

Try varying this value and see. Sometimes the 3D object will be small and sometimes it is big.

I am also new to Qt so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
