        There is a company that provides IP-telephony services. I need to make calls and record conversations. You need to make a connection to the server, call and record the call.

              of course you can use any 3rd party lib for your purpose.
              But again, how is this related to Qt?

                  no, some of Qt4 extended features made it into Qt5 or got a separate module.

                    First thing is to check the actual system you want to interface with.
                    What protocol/ways of communication does the company offer ?
                    Often for a web service, it has a json interface/soap but it could be anything.
