QtIFW 1.5.0 - shortcuts in Windows 8

Hi,
I am using the latest binary release of the installer framework: 1.5.0. It works perfectly, but in Windows 8, no shortcut is created. I am using the StartMenuDir property, and in older versions of windows a menu is created with the application shortcut in it. In Windows 8, I can find nothing.
Is this already fixed in the newer versions of QtIFW (a newer binary release would be great by the way)? Or am I missing something? I am also looking for the option to create a shortcut on the desktop. Should I write a script to do that?
