Qt setup takes 5ever!

I recently installed qt with the offline installer but was having some issues. So i uninstalled the offline one and try installed with the online installer, but the online installer takes for freakin ever. It's been 1 night now and it's still on 12%. I have 16gb of ram and pretty good internet.

Is the installer being slow on downloading the small Metadata files? Or downloading larger binary files?
If it's the larger files, you might have a slow mirror. See this: https://forum.qt.io/topic/43349/slow-downloads-with-the-online-installer-try-this-tool
Also, which package(s) did you select for installation?

It's slow on downloading the main files and i even unticked some i don't need.

Oh thanks i used the sdk repo chooser and it worked! The download is now so much faster

Great! I'm glad it's working for you.
May I ask which country you're in? (I'm trying to find out which parts of the world suffer from slow default downloads)
