    Hi. I'm a total newb with QtCreator, so apologies if this is a no-brainer. I run KDE Plasma with the dark theme and my only issue with QtCreator is that the compile output window is dark blue text on a dark grey background. How can I change the text color to make it readable ? Thanks.

      Hi @fizzychicken, and welcome to the forum!

      Hi. I'm a total newb with QtCreator, so apologies if this is a no-brainer.

      No need to apologize. I think it is possible to change it, but you will have to edit a config file. For me, the QtCreator themes are in /opt/Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/themes. You will have to select the corresponding theme and then (I think) modify the following lines:

      OutputPanes_StdErrTextColor=ffff6666
      OutputPanes_StdOutTextColor=text

      where StdOut applies to the "normal" compiler output and StdErr to the Compiler warnings/errors.

      Regards.

      Qt has to stay free or it will die.

        Thank you. I've found the theme files and the correct entry to change.
