Had to manually download the full installer from an European mirror.
The online installer is basically unusable because of that.

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

You can change the mirror you use.

Take a look at the QtSdkRepoChooser project.

You can subscribe to the Interest mailing list and then post there: http://lists.qt-project.org/mailman/listinfo/interest The Qt engineers are active on that list.

(as we are connect to internet throw europe)?

May I ask which country you're living in?

Why QtSdkRepoChooser can't be integrated into Qt Maintenance Tool - it is not clear how to use it under Linux. I have 50 KB/sec speed and new Qt version installation takes about 8h, which is terrible! While I have 100 mb/sec Internet which allows to download things in few minutes. Tried to download offline installer from a mirror (only 1 GB size against 2.5 GB in online installation which seems to be small) but download speed also not so high here - about 100 - 400 KB/sec and takes too long. Need to solve this many years issue I think, add some torrent technology or something.

IIRC, that's a feature that is being added to the installer for a future version.

Thanks, good if so. Is there a roadmap or something?

I was thinking about QTIFW-441 but it's not the same thing. So I might have been wrong.
