    i have a question about buddies, what are they? and what does focus means? because my book keep saying that and i have no idea about them.

            I read c++ gui programming with qt by practice hall, though i stopped reading it and went to watch voidrealms tutorials.

              In this case buddy means that if you have a shortcut set on your QLabel, the QLineEdit associated will get the focus (as in "the next thing you'll type will appear in that line edit")
