QtCreator is able to support ligature fonts like Fira Mono, but my Qt5 application is not. What can I do to add support?

@Vadi2 Interesting question but requires quite specific knowledge to answer. If nobody here knows maybe you just have to try to look into the source code. Try to find a smaller application like KWrite which uses Qt/KDE and according to Fira Mono webpage supports that font. Scribus is another larger program which supports opentype font features and even lets the user select which ones to use. Scribus developers at least know the subject well, maybe you can contact and ask them? Or ask in the Qt Interest mailing list.
