Problem inspecting variables when debugging on BB10 device.

I've searched for a similar problem in this forum but couldn't find anything. Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before.

I've been developing for BlackBerry 10 using the Momenics IDE (eclipse) for about a year, and due to certain aggravations with that toolset I am starting my latest app using QtCreator instead. I configured for BB10 development and all is working fine until I debug on a physical handset. The problem is that I cannot inspect the values held by any variables. In most cases the variable type is detected and displayed, but the contents are shown as "not available". When I debug on the BB10 Simulator it works fine and I can see what is in the variables, this problem only manifests when I debug on a real BB10 device.

I'm sure I just have QtCreator misconfigured, but I'm not familiar enough with it to guess where to start looking.

Any suggestions?
