Sizing of QChartView in Dock Widget

How do you make a QChartView in a dock widget follow resizing of dock widget while it's undocked, in Qt Designer?

Insert a layout into the dock,
then insert QChartView into the layout.

Thanks. It doesn't work with inserting the chartview within the layout, but works if using the layout toolbar for setting the layout of the dock widget, after inserting chartview.
