Missing codepage translation table

Hi,
We're using QXmlStreamReader in order to parse xml encoded in Shift-JIS. The xml contains the proper <?xml....encoding="shift-jis"> line and it will be properly decoded when build & run on one machine and not decoded properly on other systems. It's both Qt4.8.1 and Windows 7. The working system is Ultima64 with the japanese language packs definitively installed. I don't know much about the other Win7.
Are there any Win7 components necessary to be installed during buld or run to make that work.
