Close event of Pop up widget.

Here is my problem.
I have a mainwindow UI, and i put a widget inside it, the widget will serve as my application pereferences. And i show the widget with a close button on it(using set windowflags with Qt::tools,windowtitlehinnt,closebuttonhint.. So i am wondering how i am going to call the closeevent of that pop up widget.

simply call QWidget::close() on it
