Hello, I'm running Qt Creator 3.0.1 on Scientific Linux CERN 6 64bit - a Red Hat derived distribution. Mouse wheel scrolling does not work correctly ( no matter if I browse files or code, the bug applies to all scrollable windows in QT creator) in the sense that when I use the mouse wheel to scroll, about 50% of the time it scrolls in the wrong direction, so scrolling basically gets me nowhere. Or maybe it just resets its position to where it was before I started scrolling, I don't really know. What I know is that the faster I scroll, the more prevalent this bug is.

Oh, and my Qt Creator also crashes after about 2 secs of having opened it unless I open it as the super user.

Any idea what could be causing these bugs? Any suggestions how to get around them would be very welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

      Hi and welcome to devnet

The Qt creator and Qt you have installed from the linux distribution repository?

We are already at version version 3.4 for Qt creator. An option could be to upgrade to the more recent version.

Vote the answer(s) that helped you to solve your issue(s)
