    Hi All!

According https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-28183 about (accents) Dead keys have fixed in this Qt version. I have tested in my Archlinux and not is posible write accents. In qt 5.0.2 you obtain Mari´a, and in Qt5.1, if you type María you obtain Maria without accent in "i" :(.

This is a great, and irritating bug for those who develop in latin languages (spanish, french, catalan....). somebody know more about this and real fix?

I can't port my application to qt5 because this bug is GREAT PROBLEM for write in spanish.

When we are one, we win

Please report your findings in the bug report (I think you already did), maybe even reopening the issue. Writing about it here will not help in any way to get bugs fixed.

ArcNexus, this was fixed right after the Qt 5.1 beta1 release .. so it didnt make there. The fix will be released in Qt 5.1 RC1 though

In the mean time you can give the latest snapshot a try
        http://download.qt-project.org/snapshots/qt/5.1/5.1.0-beta1/backups/2013-05-26-39/

        saludos !

Nontheless, you can include accents using another edtior like Gedit, then copying and pasting the letter ü, á, é, í, etc. It's a problem of keyboard input to QtCreator, not a problem with the character itself. I know it's cumbersome, but it's a meanwhile workaround.
