Converting AVI file to MP4 (H264)

Is there a simple way without using FFmpeg to convert an AVI to any standard video format available in HTML5 <VIDEO> tag? It can be a MPEG4 with H264 video, no need for audio in my case. Thanks in advance!

Hard to guess your use case, but FFmpeg is probably the best option. You can take a look at "WebM":http://www.webmproject.org/docs/vp8-sdk/ API, maybe they have come conversion stuff.
