Qt 5.3.1 build trouble.
-
Ok, I downloaded Qt 5.3.1 and tried to build it using the configure.bat exe (or whatever you want to call it). When I tried to build it, I get visual studio 10 errors, but I'm trying to compile it for visual studio 2013. Here's a screen shot.

I don't know what to do. I mean, the library seems to be build already. It comes with all the DLLs and lib files....I just can't install it in visual studio 2013 and I've tried. Please help me out. Thank you.

Hi,
Your console output says you're using the compiler from Visual Studio 2010, not 2013.
Is there a reason why you want to build Qt yourself, instead of installing a prebuilt package?

No, I just can't find a prebuilt package with the current version. I suppose I could use 4.8.x but I want to use 2013 (I've gotten used to it, plus my engine is built in visual studio 2013).

Go to http://qt-project.org/downloads
Click "Show Downloads"
Scroll down to find the VS 2013 packages for Qt 5.3.1

All I see are the opensource packages which do come with pre-built DLLs and libraries, I seem to be having some trouble setting up Qt for 2013. I mean, I downloaded the visual studio add-in for 2013 but doesn't seem to find the directory of Qt. I remember for the 2008 edition, it would always find the Qt directory and automatically set up the version. I'll see, I might just have to use 2008 with Qt 4.8.x
I downloaded the visual studio add-in for 2013 but doesn't seem to find the directory of Qt.
You need to tell it where to find the directory of Qt. See this tutorial: http://www.bogotobogo.com/Qt/Qt5_Visual_Studio_Add_in.php
Also, are you using the Visual Studio IDE or the console?
