How to start a CMake project in QtCreator
-
Dear all,
I would like to get the experience with CMake. Currently I'm working on windows with QtCreator 2.4.1 based on Qt 4.7.4.
How should I start the CMake project?
Thanks for reading.

Go to Qt Creator -> New file or project -> Non-Qt project -> Plain C++ project (CMake based)

sierdzio,
I tried to do that but there is no 'Non-Qt project' option. Then I select 'Other Project' option and under that 'Plain C++ project ' exists. But it says "Create a plain C++ Project using qmake".
I searched it and found "this link":https://qt-project.org/doc/qtcreator-2.7/creator-project-cmake.html. I set the path to CMake but nothing happens.
Can you help me?
Thanks for replying. :)

I guess is that QtCreator 2.4.1 is too old. I could not find docs for 2.4.1 the earliest is for 2.5 and you found a link for 2.7
Can you switch to the latest 3.1.2."Here":http://qt-project.org/doc/qtcreator-2.5/creator-project-creating.html is how-to create a project in 2.5

I see. I somehow didn't notice you were using such an old version of Qt Creator. Please update immediately.
