Qt designer infected??
-
During the installation of Qt 5.01 Mingw version... my antivirus says the Qt designer(designer.exe) is infected, so i move it in quarantine.
It's really infected or It is a false positive? -
False positive
-
Did you download the file from the official QtProject site?
You can upload your designer.exe at "https://www.virustotal.com/":https://www.virustotal.com/, which will tell you if it is a false positive or not.
-
Yeah, I've downloaded it here... ok i'll try to follow your suggestion!! I'll post the result for the other user :D
-
There is a problem... i've tried what you say but windows says that i've not the autorization to open the file. But i'm the system administartor!! also copy or move in another location don't work!
I've another qt version can i use the old designer( copy the old designer in the new qt version)??

You are not allowed to open the file because you have moved it into quarantine.
If you have downloaded the file from the official website chances are quite high it is a false positive.
-
Well.. if i move it in quarantine it shouldn't be n the Qt directory right? before try to send the file to the site you give me i've moved out from quarantine...I 've aslo tried to reinstall but it give the same issue.

Here is a "virustotal":https://www.virustotal.com/file/69f0a4191ca5e8303a9ba07ee303ceede446dd2407c14aeba7886dc7661035a8/analysis/1359821108/ of that file, 5 antiviruses detect a trojan, it looks like a false-positive from bitdefender and some others that also added bitdefender engine to their products (at least f-secure and Gdata have multiple engines and one of those is the bitdefender)
...before try to send the file to the site you give me i've moved out from quarantine...I 've aslo tried to reinstall but it give the same issue.
This again, most probably depends on your antivirus software, and I'm afraid I can't help you then. -
However, i've GData, and this is probaly the case! thanks for the help!! I'll use the old version of designer for the moment...
