Qt 5.0 crashes when creating a Qt Quick project on Windows 8

On Windows 8, I am having various issues with Qt Creator when creating a Qt Quick project.
When I attempt to create a Qt Quick application, I make it through all of the steps of the wizard, and it creates the project, but it crashes when trying to open up the .qml file.
When I click on Examples in the Welcome tab, Qt Creator crashes immediately.
I've tried reinstalling and clearing my AppData\Roaming\Qt-Project folder to no avail.

Please report this as a bug on "JIRA":https://qt-project.org/wiki/ReportingBugsInQt. Make sure to specify all the details you can give (are MSVC and ICU installed? Are Kits configured (toolchain + Qt version) in Qt Creator? x86 or amd64?).
