Hi, I want to build a test sniffer that works in Windows/Mac/Linux. Because I want to be able to run without installing it, I can't use libpcap. Is there a way to put a NIC in promiscuous mode using the Qt Library?

The only way is for you to write libpcap. What do you mean by "able to run without installing it ?" Can you elaborate ?

I want to click 2 times over the icon from the program, and it should run. I am a System Administrator and want to build a traffic analyser. It will be free under www.NetRevealer.com

I have already an incomplete Windows version, but I want to make a multi-plataform version as well.

          Welcome to DevNet sauloqf.
As i understand you already have a worked app(even if incomplete). So did you made some sniffer for windows without libcap?
Even if you use libcap you can run your app without installing, just keep dlls near app.
