Submit Post button often leads to a New Post screen with all written content gone

About 70% of the time, when I am writing a post in these forums, I press Submit Post and the post is not submitted. Instead, I get an identical page to the one I was on, but with the content to my post completely gone, as if I am starting a post for the first time. If I press Back, I get the text box with my content again, I press Submit Post, and this cycle continues until eventually it gets submitted.

This has been happening for many months for me. Note that I use plenty of other forums without any issue like this. Does anyone know what is going on?

The only time it happens to me is if i have the current thread opened in a window for a long time without editing anything.

Man this sure is frustrating when trying to use these forums; I sure hope someone who works on the site directly can address this. I've never had this problem with any other forum site.
