[SOLVED] No more debugging on OS X 10.9 with Qt Creator
-
I had to upgrade to OS X 10.9 and now no debugging is possible with Qt Creator. I also tried LLDB but it doesn't work. Any solutions? I'm using Qt 5.1 and Qt Creator 2.8.1.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe try a newer QT5.2 with QtCreator 3.0 beta?

Even in QtC 3.0, support for 10.9 is still experimental. Apple has a habit of changing a lot details between releases.

I have already tried QtCreator 3 which autodetects both gdb and lldb, but still none of them works... I have also tried every possible solution, polluted my system with all kind of gdb versions from macports, nothing works...
@serdzio, I agree Apple does that and it's very frustrating, but I think some kind of basic debugging should be made possible in Qt Creator asap for 10.9.

Sure, you are right. It is being worked upon, but judging from the messages on the mailing list, it's not going very well, there are loads of problems cropping up everywhere. So, the sad advice is: be patient ;)

I installed the whole Qt 5.2 SDK beta instead of only QtCreator 3, and now it seems LLDB works! I haven't spent enough time but at least my apps start in debugging mode, breakpoints work, etc.

OK, that is indeed great news :)

And the good news go on:
macdeployqt works out of the box with no need for hacks! :)
