    Hello everyone,

Yesterday I upgraded to OSX ML, and the first thing I wanted to do today, is installing the newest version of Qt on my newly installed OS. This was not a clean install, if it would mind for some reason. I had Qt 4.6 and 4.7 before, but now I wanted to install the newest one, 4.8 (correct me if I'm wrong). Well, I downloaded the offline installer, but the first thing that happened when I opened the *.dmg file is a pop-up popping up (lol) saying I needed a compiler first, and I needed to install the newest version of Xcode.
Since my old Xcode wasn't compatible with OSX ML, I needed to download the newest version...After everything was deleted and reinstalled, I tried to install Qt again...But no succes, the same pop-up is telling me I need a compiler while I installed the newest version of Xcode...

I closed the installation, so Qt is not installed yet. Can someone tell me what to do? Can I link the compiler after the installation of Qt? If this would be possible, could someone please tell me where I can find that option and where exactly I can find that Xcode compiler I need to link?

    Thanks!

      Hello,

I think you need to download some extra components from XCode. Open Preferences > Downloads > Components and install command line tools.

      Give it a try.

        Thank you!

I installed the command line tools and everything builds right now :)
