Qt 5.1.0 for windows 32-bit VS 2012 using OpenGL?
-
Hi all,
Does anybody know if there's gonna be a release for VS 2012 32-bit that uses OpenGL instead of ANGLE?
I see that the official releases are:
Qt 5.1.0 for Windows 32-bit (VS 2012, 511 MB)
Qt 5.1.0 for Windows 64-bit (VS 2012, 525 MB)
Qt 5.1.0 for Windows 64-bit (VS 2012, OpenGL, 522 MB)but no 32-bit OpenGL, I have tried to build it myself to no avail as I used to do on Qt 4.8.x, but Qt 5.1 build system has more tool dependencies (Perl and other stuff) and is in general, messier and more error prone than good ol' Qt 4 qmake only (I hope that gets fixed in future releases), that's why unlike 4.8, I just download the prebuilt binaries and avoid the headaches altogether.
Thanks!

AFAIK, no new prebuild configurations are planned. You can as on development Mailing List.

I had the same question. Where should this be asked and how?
-
As said before: use "Development mailing list":http://lists.qt-project.org/mailman/listinfo/development.

Thanks. I sent a message to the list now.

I sent it with my e-mail first, only registered now. It has to be approved by a moderator anyway, no?

I sent the e-mail BEFORE subscribing. Should I send it again now?
-
Yes, that will probably get your message posted quicker :)

Sent again. Wish me luck.

I have the same issue. I complete given up trying to compile it myself. Is there any particular reason for not releasing a prebuild for Windows 32-bit (VS 2012 + OpenGL)
That forces me to use GLEW, which does not blend very well with Qt.

I didn't get a reply from the mailing list and moved on but AFAIK this is still the case with the current installer (I'm with Qt 5.2).
