    Hi all,

Back when I signed up for a Qt Bug Tracker account, I had chosen a username that's unprofessional. Is there a way to change my username or delete my account? I noticed that these capabilities are provided in the DevNet, but I can't find them in the bug tracker.

    Thanks!

When i go to jIra, i can log in and on the right of your name there is a button (with a triangle on it)
When you click that you get some choices and one is "profile". There you can change your username.

Thanks, Eddy. However, I can only change my Full Name and Email, not my Username. Perhaps username changing requires higher privileges...?

        How about account deletion?

I don't know if this is the intended behaviour.
You could add a feature request on jira and if you do so make a link to this topic.

Changing the username is not supported in Jira itself.

See the respective FAQ of Atlassian, the company that develops Jira, here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA051/Changing+Usernames+in+JIRA

I would suggest to create a new account and let the old one silently fade out.

I guessed as much. Thanks for your replies, Eddy and Volker. I've taken the new-account path.

And Volker's link contains a link to a feature request -- looks like there's others out there who'd like this feature too!

Yup. Including myself, as I had the problem too with the Jira instance that I'm responsible for :-) Changing a user name isn't that rarely occuring event, just think of marriage where sometimes one partner picks up the last name of the other.
