I have an application created under Ubuntu, everything is ok. But after I recompiled it for Qt embedded 4.6.1, and running it on the embedded Linux, the border of pop-up dialog disappeared. How can I make it back? thanks

You are probably talking about windowing system border. Since the system is embedded, there may be no windowing system apart from QWS - so you don't get any borders.

on the desktop Linux, I can also see the border. but under embedded Linux, without border, the dialog popped up is easily mixed with the background.

You can wrap your dialog in QFrame and set it to have a border this way.
