New Book
-
Are there any updated books about Qt covering new apis and Qml, Qt 5.x ? Anyone ?
-
No. Plenty of new docs in the documentation, and tutorials on the web, though.

Not yet; see http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/17765/P30

Thanks for the responses. Yes, there is the online doc. But I rather prefer reading a book. Reading on computer is a strain for me.

This isn't a book, but I use this tool (http://stereopsis.com/flux/ ) to reduce eye strain at night. You can also configure it to give your screen warm colours throughout the day; it could be useful for your computing in general

Thanks, I will give it a try

I was also wandering for the same.

+1, want to see a book talk about different design skills, idiom and
advance technique of qml(make use of scenegraph, fbo and so on).The other book I would like to have is something like opengl + Qt5,
Qt5 enhance the support on opengl and provide us many tools
to create sophisticated UI, don't you think it would be good if we
have a book to teach the users how to learn opengl + Qt5 step by step? -
+1
I too prefer reading books. After I have finished "C++ GUI Programming with Qt4" I would very much like to get my hands on a Qt 5 opengl book, things seem to have changed a bit.
I understand it isn't an easy job to write an up to date tech book for a rapidly developing environment. However, the second best alternative after a textbook would be to have the web docs as a downloadable pdf e-book. Probably wouldn't be too much additional work if taken into consideration when writing and publishing the online docs.

Since june 2013 things had changed a little bit, and now there is a free "book":http://qmlbook.org/ available.
