About window

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where I can fill in the details for the about window?
I see the actionAbout but I can nowhere find the file or so to type in the things I want in the about window

If you are referring to the "Help Menu -> About" window, "this":http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qmessagebox.html#about might be helpful

Yep, I do mean “Help Menu -> About” but in that link it is not really clear,...

There is a standard about dialog that displays information about Qt. -If you want one about your own application, you'll have to create your own. There is no standard about box that I know of.-

You can create the custom about box as follows:

QMessageBox::about(<parent-widget>,<window-title>,<window-text>)
@

<parent-widget> is typically the main window of the app
<window-title> is the title shown on the title bar. Ex. - @tr("About MyApp")@
<window-text> is the content of the window. Ex. - @tr("Here is some info on MyApp")@

<window-text> also supports HTML formatting tags to display Rich-Text. Ex. - @tr("<h1><b><i><u>Info on MyApp</u></i></b></h1><br />This is some info")@

Doh! I completely missed that one... So yes, there is a default standard about box provided by Qt.
