    Hello

    What do you mean by "stacking"? Decreasing of size if there are too much tabs?

      I think l3e0wulf ask about splitting tabs to windows and vise versa(like as in web browsers).

              Unfortunately there is no such option in QTabWidget. But i belive it is possible do by subclassing QTabWidget.

                is exactly what I want to do, but I do not know how to get started, what is the logic programming that involves that stacking tabs functionality?

                      What did you try to do already?
                      Maybe you have more specific questions. It is difficult create ready use widget for you, we can just help you, to do this.
