QtWebKit 3: without QML?

Hello,
I would like to use QtWebKit 3 (aka WebKit2 if I'm correct) with Qt 5. Currently, when porting a project from Qt 4 to Qt 5, it seems that QtWebKit 3 is not used.
The simplest example found is through QML: http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/23788/
I did not find examples on the web to explicitly activate QtWebKit in a pure C++/qmake and simple manner. Is it possible?

Is Qt community can stop creating exclusive QML things and stop transfer Qt C++ framework to Qt QML framework?
Is Qt developers has plans for creating public c++ api for such things like Qt WebKit 3?
Our company is heavy depends on C++ Qt components and we very interested in plans of Qt developers about develop c++ part of Qt framework.
